Jenny Lynn Polk's Obituary
Jenny Lynn Polk, age 77, of East China, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023. She was born December 31, 1945 to the late William and Dorothy Brown. Jenny was a graduate of Madison High School, class of 1964. On March 17, 1967 she married the love of her life, Jimmy Polk. Jenny worked in environmental services for Beaumont for 10 years. In her spare time, Jenny enjoyed baking. Her apple pie was her specialty. She spent a lot of time crocheting blankets for all of her children and grandchildren. Jenny also was liked canning. Most of the canning she did was peaches and tomatoes. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jimmy; daughters, Carol (Steve) Airing, Rebecca (Troy) Thompson, Angela Polk; grandchildren, Erica and Brett Koendarfer, Nicholas and Melanie Thompson, Jonathan Justice; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Moreland.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Mae Patten, Doris Hanes, Alice Ivey.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, September 6th from 2:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. as well as from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
