Jean M. Salisbury's Obituary
Jean Margaret Salisbury, age 88, of Marine City, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2010. She was born to Francis and Margaret LeConte on October 6, 1921 and raised on a farm near Brigden, Ontario.
On June 15, 1940 she married Bruce Salisbury and moved to Detroit for a few years; they also lived in Algonac and the last 62 years in Marine City. Bruce passed away February 5, 1986. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She was the manager of Marine City Belle River Apartments since 1971.
She is survived daughters; Margaret (Donald) Hill, Betty (Thomas) Holladay, and son; Ronald (Sandra) Salisbury. Grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother; Howard (Margaret) LeConte of Sarnia, Ontario, and brother-in-law and Sister-in-law; Leonard and Lois Salisbury of Dresden, Ontario.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; infant son, Howard; grandson; Leon; parents; sister, Olive Bass; brothers; William, Erle, Ross, and Ross of Ontario.
Visitation inside Young Funeral Home, China Township on Sunday from 2-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am at Fellowship Baptist Church, East China. Interment, Wilkesport Cemetery; Wilkesport, Ontario. Additional visitation will be from 10-11am at the church on Monday. Memorials are suggested to Fellowship Baptist Church. www.youngcolonial.com
