Mr. Jay F. McCartney's Obituary
Jay F. McCartney, age 78, of St. Clair Twp., died June 5, 2013. He was born February 20, 1935 in St. Clair to the late Justin and Abbie McCartney. Jay married Reva Fleury on September 8, 1956. She preceded him in death in 2006. He served with the U.S. Army and retired from the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. He was a member of the River District RC Eagles and also enjoyed fossil collecting.
Jay is survived by two sons; Justin (Marilyn) McCartney and Dan McCartney, granddaughter Leilani McCartney, step grandchildren; Tammy and Tracy, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Friday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Marine City Fire Dept. www.youngcolonial.com
