Jay Edward Fike's Obituary
Jay Edward Fike, age 55, of Shelby Twp., passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1967 to Judyanne and the late Gerald Fike. After Jay graduated high school, he went on and honorably served his country in the United States Navy for 6 years during the 1st Gulf War. Following his time in the service, Jay proudly graduated from Michigan State University with his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jay was a life time member of the AM-Vets Post 72, New Haven. In his spare time, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing keno, watching football, and playing cards, especially euchre.
He is survived by his mother, Judyanne Fike; partner in life, Joyce Fotiu; siblings, Michelle (Rance) Magee, Linda (Dave) Churchill, Marsha (Rich) Schemmel, Rodney (Marlo) Fike, Randy (Rebecca) Fike, as well as several special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
