Jason W. Young-Forsythe's Obituary
Jason W. Young-Forsythe, age 49, of St. Clair, passed away October 18, 2024. He was born February 7, 1975 in Detroit.
He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1993. He played football and baseball for the Saints.
After graduation he attended Mid Michigan College in Mt. Pleasant and later went to Macomb Culinary College where he earned a gold medal in a competition in Germany.
He went on to work as a chef at several Metro Detroit restaurants and most recently found himself back in his hometown of St. Clair as the Banquet Chef at the St. Clair Inn.
Jason made friends where ever he went. He enjoyed golfing and was a huge fan of all of the Detroit sports teams.
He is survived by his parents; Patricia and Randy Forsythe, his brother; Jeremiah (Kristi) Forsythe, nephew and niece; Dustin and Jocelyn Forsythe.
He is also survived by his grandmother; Mary Southworth, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
