Jason Warwick's Obituary
Celebrating
Jason "DJ Warwick"
Jason was born in Detroit on June 22, 1976, a city he proudly called his second favorite place to be. His heart, however, belonged to Marine City, where on his 50th birthday, June 22, 2026, he found peace looking out his window at the river he loved. Now, he is playing music for his predeceased mother Patricia (Farmer) Warwick and his father Ronald Gilbert.
Jason's love for Marine City began at a young age, while riding horses and spending time enjoying community and worship with Miss Chupic and Mr. Hibbs as well as many other friends and family at the DJ Ranch. He learned quickly this was where he wanted to be. Later in years, he discovered he had talent, and went on to explore that talent by becoming a DJ and sharing his passion for music. Jason lived for laughter and bringing people together with his ability to spin records while creating memories with his energy, kindness and unforgettable spirit.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jason's memory lives on in the music he loved, the stories he shared, the friendship he built and the countless lives he touched. We remember not only the day we lost him, but every moment he lived so full of life.
Today, we celebrate Jason - not with goodbye, but with gratitude for having known him. May we honor his memory by carrying forward the kindness and spirit that made him so unforgettable.
Jason is survived by his sisters: Tina (Matt) Derra, Jennifer Kortes.
Girlfriend: Bonnie Miller.
Nieces and Nephews: Lester (Kristin) Olson, Samantha (Joe) Mangum, Maddy Olson, Matthew Derra and Dylon Derra.
His Celebration will be held at 3pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club, 2402 Bell River Rd., East China Township.
Please join us in honoring him and his memory by sharing stories, music, and the smiles he brought to so many. In keeping with his spirit, we encouraged you to bring a photo and to wear attire that reflects his love of music and sports.
Raise a glass with us! We'll have the beer, if your toast is enjoyed with something other, please bring that.
Forever in our hearts, forever in the music!
"The music may have stopped, but his memory will never fade."
