Janice Ann Beattie's Obituary
Janice Ann Beattie, age 81, of Marine City, passed away May 11, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 3, 1940 to the late Raymond and Goldie Kazor.
On October 17, 1959 Janice married Robert Beattie in Holy Cross Church, Marine City. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Church. Janice was an avid golfer and gardener and enjoyed the beauty of living on the river. She also enjoyed baking, especially for her grandchildren. Her primary joy in life was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Beattie; daughters, Laurie (David) Gaul, Lynn (Ron) Salisbury, Susie (Gary) Folan and Angie Rossi; grandchildren, Scott Dilworth, Liz Ruffley, Katie Hoffrichter, Andrew, Christopher, Timmy and William Gaul, Michael, Ronnie, Matthew and Robert Salisbury, Drew Folan, Devin Hooey, Brookie and Bryan Folan, and Robert Rossi; 21 great grandchildren; sister, Charlene (Bill) Recor; brothers in law and sisters in law, Charles Beattie, Jean (Warren) Koch, Ralph (Terry) Beattie; special aunt, Kate Thompson; special cousin, Marvin Thompson and nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held Monday May 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Janice’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
