Janet D. Socia's Obituary
Janet D. Socia (86) of St. Clair, Michigan passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, while in Hospice. Janet was born to Stanley and Mabel Adamske on August 3, 1938.
She will be remembered as "simply the best" by all who knew her. She loved unconditionally and cherished every moment with her family. She treasured the times spent with those she loved whether she was cooking a delicious meal or spending time at the Harsen's Island cottage, Atlanta cabin, or the 40 acres. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the most joy. She loved being with them. She was the true sense of "Mom" and "Nana". She was a homemaker her entire life and she loved nurturing all of us and we loved it too. She missed her husband (Don) and couldn't wait to be reunited one day in Heaven with him. She will be missed beyond measure and our memories will live on forever.
She is survived by her children, Donald Socia (Judy), Julie Cahill (Steve) and her grandchildren, Brent Cahill (Lisa), Kelli Gauronskas (Chris), DJ Socia, Blake Cahill (Lauren), Janell Socia, Jaime Socia, great grandchildren, Easton and Ari Gauronskas and Finn Cahill.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Stanley and Mabel Adamske, brother Darryl (Laura) and her husband Donald Socia (married 65 years) and many loving friends.
