James R. Smith Jr., age 40 of Swartz Creek, formerly of St. Clair died Friday, May 4, 2012. He was born July 14, 1971 in Grosse Pointe Farms, to Honey and the late James Smith Sr. . James graduated from St. Clair High School in 1990 and from Eastern Michigan University. He was an avid dirt biker, and enjoyed working with computers, studying archeology and natural healing.
He is survived by his mother, Honey (Gary) Tomlin, daughter Skyela Elizabeth Smith, brother Erick Smith, aunts, Sharon (Frank) LaMothe, Germaine Boyer, Andrea LaMothe and uncle Michael LaMothe, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday from 4-9 PM in the Young Funeral Home, China Twp.. In state Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair from 10 AM till service at 11 AM.
