Mr. James B. Quick's Obituary
James B. Quick, age 96, of Marine City, died March 17, 2015. He was born June 21, 1918 in Superior, Wisconsin. On October 6, 1945 Jim married the love of his life, Jacqueline Garin in Paris, France. Jim proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved playing guitar and did so for many years with a local band at many events. Jim was known for his landscaping talents and did local landscaping for many years.
Jim was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Marine City since 1958, he served on the East China School Board and was a member of the VFW, Marine City.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Jacqueline Quick, son, Robert (Barbara) Quick, grandchildren, Jacqi and Jodi and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Roberts and brother, Roy Quick.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday March 24th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Marine City. The family will receive visitors at the church prior to service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Martin’s Lutheran Church.
