James L. Durfee, age 81, of East China Twp., died September 18, 2013. He was born February 10, 1932 to the late Lee and Anna Mae Durfee of Armada and Ferndale. Jim graduated from Lincoln High School in Ferndale in 1950. He served Read Obituary
My condolences to the Durfee family. Even with a firm hope for the future, death is still accurately described as an enemy. So we can't help but feel the void when someone we love dies. The Bible however, holds out a hope that we will see our loved ones again, saying at John 5:28-29: all those in God's memory will come out and live again. I hope this bring you some comfort.
Jim and I worked together for many years and was one of my best friends. We shared common interests such as Boating, and love of the Great Lakes Waterways. His passing leaves a hole in our hearts. Jim was a very private guy but when he had an opinion you realized he was one of the most knowledgeable people on a wide range of subjects. Our thoughts go out to Bruno and Jim's family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Bruno and the Durfee family.
Jim and Bruno were very kind to my parents, and especially when my father's health was declining. Jim was a great neighbor on Loretta Road.
