James Wesley Caldwell's Obituary
James Wesley Caldwell, age 67, passed over to life eternal on January 15, 2014. James Wesley was born October 3, 1946 in Warren, OH to Gene and Ruth Caldwell.
On June 8, 1985, James married Rebecca Anthony in St Clair, MI at the First United Methodist Church.
Jim was a carpenter. He had a passion for trees, nature, walks in His woods and looking out for the less fortunate.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carving, bulls-eyes and eating tomatoes on his bench under the tree by the garden. But Jim’s true joy were his grandsons, Gage and Ethan.
Jim leaves behind his loving wife Rebecca, dear mother Ruth Caldwell, Grosse Pointe Farms, daughter Angela (Kristina) Stier, son Denny (Rachel) Stier, grandsons Gage and Ethan Stier, all of St Clair. Sis¬ters, Delle (Tom) Zurschmiede, Grosse Pointe Farms and Mary (Ed) Maurer and nephews Michael and John, Plymouth. Brothers-in-law, Harry (Gail) Anthony, Al (Alice) Anthony and Jeff Anthony; Sister-in-law Melissa (Jeff) Westrick, all of St Clair. Many loving nieces and nephews and his critters, Lizzie, Luke, Lulu, Diddy, Frances and his Petey.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Gene Caldwell, his niece Rachael Maurer, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Doris Anthony and his best friend Russ Bowen.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held, Saturday, February 8, 2014, 11am at the First United Methodist Church of St Clair.
Memorials may be made in Jim’s memory to Blue Water Developmental Housing Inc Children’s Ser¬vices or Humane Society of St Clair County / SNAP.
