Mr. James W. Bluhm's Obituary
James W. Bluhm, age 80, of St. Clair, died June 26, 2016. He was born September 19th, 1936 in Detroit to the late George and Grace Bluhm. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gail. Dear father of Karen (Frank Ferriolo), Kathleen (Paul) Bartz, Kevin (Barbara) and Keith (Paula). Proud grandfather of Alysha (Mike) McCabe, Seth Bartz, Julie (Steve) Piche, Jeff Bluhm, Angela Bluhm, Bret Bluhm and Laura Bluhm. Great grandfather to Leo Piche and Ellie McCabe. Loving brother of the late Therese Bluhm and the late Dennis (Mary) Bluhm.
Jim was a proud member of Local 25 Asbestos Workers for 40 years and spent some time in Alaska working on the pipeline. In addition, he owned and operated along with his family, Bluhm’s Berry Farm from 1975 to 1991. After retiring, he and Gail spent the last 17 years traveling with the Holiday Rambler RV group. When he was home, he loved to keep busy with woodworking and construction projects that his family would request of him. His most favorite hobby was fishing with his son Keith.
Cremation has taken place and Mass will be Saturday July 9th at 10:00am at St. Margaret of Scotland, 21201 E. 13 Mile Rd. St. Clair Shores with visitation one hour prior to mass.
