Jack C. Everitt's Obituary
Jack C. Everitt, age 85, of East China Twp., went home to be with his Lord on February 10, 2017, with his family by his side. He was born June 19, 1931, the beloved only son of Richard and Clara Everitt in Grand Rapids.
On September 21, 1950, Jack married Gloria Moulton in Pontiac, Michigan. Jack generously gave a lifetime of service in church ministry, including 40 years as a Sunday school teacher. He worked 41 years for the Detroit Edison throughout the thumb area and also served on the Planning Commission and Board of Appeals for East China Twp. for 15 years. Jack also designed and custom built campers for 18 years.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gloria L. Everitt; children, Mark (Nancy) Everitt, Lori (Robert) Wheeler, Joan Clark, John (Kathie) Everitt and Beth (Brett) Lile; grandchildren, Julie (David) Patterson, Marissa Everitt, Nathan Everitt, Jodi (Dan) Kriesch, Kristin (Henry) Amama, Robbie (Doug) Cox, TerriLynn (Aaron) Bump, Courtney (Jason) Proctor, Nick (Jackie) Clark, Lizzy (Nathan) Hess, Joshua (Jenny) Everitt, Jared (Sami) Everitt, Jason (Anna) Everitt, Summer Lile and Shelby Lile; 22 great grandchildren and sisters, Nancy McKinney, Patricia (Jerold) Dunlap and Carolyn Everitt. He was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Everitt and Janice Hockey.
Funeral services will be Monday February 13th at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, East China Twp. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10 to 11 a.m. at church prior to service.
