Mrs. Irene M. Dziedzic's Obituary
Irene M. (Dietlin) Dziedzic, born February 20, 1927 in Marine City, daughter of the late Dominic and Bertha Dietlin, died June 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She married Alex S. Dziedzic on September 14, 1946 at Holy Cross Church, Marine City, MI. Her beloved husband of 62 years pre-deceased her on February 18, 2008.
Irene is survived by her sons David A. (Sheila) Dziedzic, East China, MI, Larry (Antoinette) Dziedzic, St. Clair, MI and daughters Diane (Jim) Blattert, Haslett, MI and Cathy (Bob) Lipa, East China, MI. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Sylvia Dietlin, Margaret Dietlin, Fran Osterland, Rose McCormick, 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friends Bob and Sandy Gennrich, Roscommon, MI.
She was predeceased by her husband Alex, an infant son, sister Betty Dietlin, brothers Marvin Dietlin and Vincent Dietlin, and great-grandson, Alec Dziedzic.
Irene was a member of St. Mary’s Church, St. Clair since 1988 and was a former member of the Rosary Alter Society. Irene and her husband Alex enjoyed their travels to polka events and especially cherished for many years the cabin they built near Roscommon. She was a Grandma well loved for her dill pickles and chocolate chip cookies!

Special appreciation goes to her beloved caretakers and the compassionate staff of VNA/Blue Water Hospice Home. Words can never suffice for the deep appreciation of Irene’s children for the wonderful care she received over the past few years.
A funeral mass will be conducted Tuesday June 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass. A rosary will be said Monday at 7:00 p.m.
