Inga Girard's Obituary
Inga Girard, age 91, passed away April 12, 2018. She was born in Detroit on July 4, 1926. Inga was married for 47 years to Lawrence Girard, who was a WWII Navy veteran and small business owner. She is survived by her daughters, Diane Coe and Ingrid Chambers and granddaughters, Lauren and Heather Chambers. Inga retired to Florida in 2007. She was a professional violinist and graduated from Wayne State University with a Master’s Degree in Music. She went on to teach music in the Detroit Public School System as well as performing with the US/Canada International Symphony Orchestra.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 17th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Inga. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
