Howard "Jim" Inwood's Obituary
Howard "Jim" Inwood, age 80, of Port Huron Twp., died March 14, 2010. He was born February 9, 1930 in Romeo, Mich. to the late Howard "Scott" and Marie (Carbonneau) Inwood.
Jim served with the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952 and was a combat veteran in the Korean War.
He married Eleanor Schoenberg May 5, 1956 in Macomb, Mich.
He served in the Civil Air Patrol USAF at Selfridge AFB. He worked and retired from Cadillac Car Co. and then worked as an over the road commercial bus driver.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Eleanor Inwood, children; Lisa (Leonard) Coppedge and Jeffery Inwood.
Grandchildren; Timothy and Jeffery Leito, and Andrew and Caitlin Inwood.
Brother; Robert (Betty) Inwood of Cocoa, Florida and sister Nancy VanKoughnett of Clarkston and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday March 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church,415 N. 9th St. St. Clair, MI 48079. Private interment will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
Visiting hours are Friday March 19th 2:00to 9:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday March 20th 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
