Herbert Koch's Obituary
Herbert A. Koch, age 71, of Marine City, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2009. He was born on November 20, 1937 in Fair Haven to the late Herbert and Vera Koch.
Mr. Koch was a retired Marine City Volunteer Firefighter after 23 years of loyal service. Herb was avid outdoorsman and a member of the St. Clair Hunt and Fish Club.
He is survived by his wife; Gretchen Koch. Children; Kim (Tom) Hansz, Todd Dornton, Pete Koch, and Herbert “Corky” (Carolyn) Koch. Proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Warren (Jean) Koch and sister-in-law Suzi Koch.
Preceded in death by his son, Jed Dornton, and brother, Allen Koch.
Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
