Helene M. Finamore's Obituary
Helene M. Finamore, age 75, of Marine City and Lexington, died March 21, 2012. She was born July 27, 1936 to Dell and Helen (Schuster) Riley.
Helene's mother died when she was only 2 years old and was raised by her grandmother, Mary Riley. She was a graduate of Annunciation High School in Detroit.
She married William Moultrie and later married Donald Finamore. Helene "Babe" was the love of Don's life. They were in love at first sight and shared their love with everyone they knew.
After she retired in 2001, they enjoyed traveling to Arizona and spending winters with their friends George and Donna in Mohave Valley. She loved their little park model home in Lexington, especially the pool in her healthier days.
She is survived by her husband Donald Finamore, children; Nick (Jan) Finamore, Jeff (Elaine) Finamore, Ray Moultrie, Pam Stayler, Pam (Patrick) LaBelle, Mike (Cathy) Moultrie and Joe Finamore. Between them they have 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers; Tom (Dora) and Dennis Riley and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister JoAnne.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday March 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City.
Visiting hours are Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass.
A scripture service will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m.
