Helen Dorothy Summerville's Obituary
Helen Dorothy Summerville, age 90, of Marine City, died February 10, 2012. She was born November 9, 1921 in Marine City. Helen married Joseph Summerville in December of 1945.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Womens Society, Ester Martha Circle. Helen worked at the Detroit Gasket and owned and operated Summerville Industrial Wood Products with her husband for 42 years.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years Joseph, daughter Sandra Hobson, granddaughter Lori Hobson and grandson Matthew Hobson.
She was preceded in death by her parents James O. and Louise Smith, brothers James, Lloyd, Roy and William, sisters Edna Langell, Hazel McKellar, Evelyn Fassnacht, Lillian Elsholz and Dorothy Shirkey and son in law Richard Hobson.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Marine City United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Hobson, Randy Orchard, William Smith, Dennis VanTiem, Joe Gies and Dennis Summerville. Honorary pallbearer is Eugene Voss.
