Helen M. McCaffrey's Obituary
Helen M. (nee Malbouef) McCaffrey, age 101 of Algonac, passed away peacefully September 11, 2017. She was born in Munising, Michigan. Her family moved to Detroit in 1929, where she later married and raised her family. She spent her retirement years in Algonac. Helen is the last surviving child of Francois and Elzier Malbouef.
Surviving Helen are her children, Robert Jr. (Barbara), Patricia, Gregory (Mary Ellen), Maureen and Brian; 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Robert McCaffrey Sr., five brothers and four sisters.
Helen’s legacy is her great love of music, family and family gatherings.
Funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16th, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City.
Visitation Friday 3 to 8 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday at church 9 to 10 a.m. Rosary Friday at 7:30 pm.
