Hedwig J. Manuelson's Obituary
Hedwig J. Manuelson, age 90, of East China, passed away December 5, 2021. She was born July 9, 1931 to the late Michael and Frieda Lemke. Hedwig graduated from Denby High School in Detroit and was a switchboard operator of Michigan Bell for many years and after with The Holiday Inn.
Hedwig loved spending time with family and friends on the holidays and going out to eat.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Diana) Manuelson, Chris Manuelson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Carol Young-Manuelson; brothers, Hugo Lemke, Leonard Lemke; sister, Ruth Oehmke.
A funeral ceremony will be Saturday December 11, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. with visiting from 12:00 p.m. till time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to wishes of the family. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
