Mr. Harvey B. Jeffery's Obituary
Harvey B. Jeffery, age 83, of Casco Twp., died November 30, 2013. He was born October 19, 1930 in Detroit to the late Hanley and Ruth Jeffery. Harvey served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Holley Carburetor in 1994 following 27 years of employment. Harvey was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite and a member of Olive Branch Lodge 542. He volunteered at St. John’s River District Hospital for 17 years and also at the Great Lakes Maritime Center in Port Huron. Harvey loved watching wildlife and photography. Harvey never met anyone he didn’t consider a friend.
He is survived by his daughter; MaryAnn Jeffery (Scott Pickelhaupt), dear friend; Mary Lou Burg, niece; Cindy Jeffery, constant companion and all American dog; Rusty, caregivers; Marge, Annette, Charlene, Rhonda, Pat and Jackie and many friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Anna Jeffery.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday December 4th at 10:30 am at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-9 pm at Young Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mid City Nutrition or Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society. www.youngcolonial.com
