Harold Julius Westrick's Obituary
Harold Julius Westrick, age 85, of Casco Twp., died July 29, 2016. He was born February 7, 1931 at home in St. Clair Twp. He was the third son born to Julius and Agnes (Selke) Westrick. Harold married Clara Muggelberg May 17, 1958. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church his entire life. Harold served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He was honorably discharged January of 1960.
Harold retired from Akzo Salt (formerly Diamond Crystal Salt) in 1993 after nearly 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Westrick, son and daughters, Michael (Susan) Westrick, Anne (Leo) Distelrath and Mary (Mark) Armstrong Sr., grandchildren; Matthew (Sara) Distelrath, Nathan (Heather) Distelrath, Brian Westrick, Mark Armstrong Jr. and Mary Westrick and three precious great grandsons, Jaxon and Maxwell Distelrath and Sawyer Distelrath. Also sisters in law and brothers in law; Elizabeth Westrick, William Muggelberg Sr., Frances and Nate Walker, Linda Quirk and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents and brothers; Russell, Merle and Robert Westrick.
Visitation will be Monday August 1st from 2 to 9 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Funeral services Tuesday, August 2nd will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Young Funeral Home with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Clair.
