Harley James Flagler's Obituary
Harley James Flagler, (88), of East China, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023. He was born in 1935 to the late Roy and Florence Flagler. Through hard work and dedication, he was the President of the Flagler Corp for 63 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing in the Barber-shop choir, pitching in softball, he was an avid golfer, as well as pitching horseshoes. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a man with a great sense of humor who loved to tell jokes and share his golf stories.
Harley was a loving husband of Mary Lou (Weot) of 60 years. The proud father of Frank, (Mayfair), Stacey (Scott) Tranter, Sandra, and Harley Jr. Jennifer. Harley cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He loved being a grandfather to Rebecca, Jack, Elizabeth, Marylen, Matthew, Katarina, Caroline, and Lucas.
A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, August 8th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be on Monday, August 7th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Military honors and interment to take place at Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp., after mass on Tuesday. Memorials are suggested to Wounded Warriors.
