Gregory Allen Cunningham's Obituary
Gregory Allen Cunningham, age 74, of China Twp., passed away peacefully in his home, October 15, 2023. Greg was born April 27, 1949 in St. Clair. On May 3, 1975 he married Diane Muhlitner in St. Clair.
Greg served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from 1971 to 1973. He was a plastics manufacturing instructor at the former St. Clair County Tech Center. Following his years teaching he was employed within the plastic industry. Greg concluded his working career by pursuing his passion in lawn care. He was self employed and took great pride in maintaining his customer’s lawns. Greg was also a lifelong active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair.
When not working Greg enjoyed playing golf, spending time on woodworking projects, driving his Model A and landscaping. One of his favorite pastimes was camping with his children and grandchildren.
Greg is survived by his wife of 48 years, Diane Cunningham; children, Allan (Monique) Cunningham, Andrew (Jena) Cunningham and Kristin (Gregory) Kozlowski; mother, Ruth Cunningham; grandchildren, Cole, Kylie, Gage, Grayson, Amelia and Catherine; siblings, Marion (Chuck) Schweihofer, Ross (Beth) Cunningham and Barbara (Dave) Glines and many nieces and nephews.
Greg is predeceased by his father, William “Don” Cunningham and brother, James Cunningham.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Thursday October 26th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to service.
