Glen Stimmel Jr.'s Obituary
Glen Stimmel Jr., age 95, of St. Clair, passed away Tuesday Feb 25th, 2025. He was born on September 28, 1929, in Detroit to the late Glen and Julia Stimmel.
Glen joined the United States Air Force on January 4th, 1951, until December 3rd, 1953. While in the Air Force he was an aircraft mechanic with the 575th Fld Maintenance Squadron at Selfridge Air National Guard in Michigan.
On November 8, 1952, Glen married Ann Wallwork in Grosse Pointe and enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Glen worked for Ex-Cell-O as a UAW journeyman toolmaker. After retiring from Ex-Cell-O he worked for East China School District during the summer months. Following retirement, he enjoyed going to garage sales with his friend Don, hunting, fishing, going up north and traveling to Florida every winter.
Glen is survived by his children, Sharon Amato, Denise Clark, Michelle (Jamie) Jones, Maralee (Bill) Lachovsky, and Kurt (Cindy) Stimmel; grandchildren Tony (Michelle) Amato, Phillip Amato, Andrea Jones, Karrie (James) Mackie, Corinn (Paul) Martin, Julianne (Chris) Monte, Jessica Jones, Joseph (Ashley) Geibig, Russell Lachovsky, Jake (Desaree) Stimmel, Kaleb (AbbyGale) Stimmel; great grandchildren Anthony & Dominic Amato, Andrew & Evan Jones, Madison, Olivia & Emma Mackie, Jack & Lily Geibig, James & William Monte, Nevaeh & Harbor Stimmel, Heidi & Everett Stimmel.
Glen is preceded in death by his wife Ann Stimmel, his parents Glen & Julia Stimmel, in laws Roy & Ruth Wallwork, sisters Florence (Betty) (Arthur(Jerry)) Lariviere, Doris (Wilfred) Sutton, brother in law Russell Wallwork, and son in law William Clark Jr.
