Gertrude "Trudy" Redmond's Obituary
Gertrude “Trudy” Redmond, age 87, of St. Clair passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 22, 2024. She was born March 10, 1937 in Detroit to the late Alex and Joan Mahinske. Trudy married William A. Redmond Jr. on May 4, 1963 and he preceded her in death on August 14, 2015.
Trudy loved her work in banking and finance which she did for 45 years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards especially Euchre and always had excuse to go out for dinner. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, never missed a game on TV. But most of all Trudy cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her son, Scott (Kellie) Redmond; grandchildren, Laikyn Kulman, Reese Kulman; sisters, Marlene Brudzinski, Veronica (Kim) Kelly; sister in laws, Carol Mahinske, Regina Mattingly; brother in laws, George (Judy) Redmond, Johnny (Susan) Redmond, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother Ronald Mahinske.
A funeral service will be held at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. on Wednesday August 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visiting the night before on Tuesday August 27, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. along with one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
