Geraldine F. Smith's Obituary
Geraldine F. Smith, 83 years young, of St. Clair, MI, went home to our Lord on January 8, 2026. She was born on September 24, 1942, in the city of Plymouth to Ruby Napier and Lawrence Tyree.
She made a career of caring for others. First as an RN for Northville Pych. Hospital. Later shifting to private, in home, and group home registered nursing until her retirement. Geraldine held many talents and interests, holding a license in cosmetology. She created all types of arts and crafts, from making jewelry, dolls, quilts, and decor for all accessories. Geraldine was an amazing baker; she even made wedding cakes and decor. She was a sharp, snazzy dresser, who loved her family. Geraldine loved the Lord Jesus Christ with a deep passion.
She is survived by her stepson (whom she loved as her own), William K. Smith Jr., six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, too many to name, but none of them are forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence (Ruby Napier) Tyree; children, Kimberly and Lawrence Hedger; and siblings.
Cremation arrangements with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A celebration of life will take place at a later date for family.
John 5:24
“Very truly I tell you, whomever hears my word and believes in him, who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life”
