Gerald E. Mason's Obituary
Mr. Gerald E. Mason, 67, of St. Clair, went home to the Lord on Friday, April 9, 2010 after a short illness.
He was born June 2, 1942 in Mt. Clemens to the late George and Juanita Mason. He married Caroline Mlejnek on October 21, 1989.
Mr. Mason worked for many years at Paclite in Marine City, Riverside Tank in St. Clair, and Aero Box in Roseville before his retirement.
After his retirement he enjoyed his hobby of woodworking, working in his yard and visiting with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Caroline. One daughter, Wendy (Jeremy) Pacquette, Two sons; Jerry and John. A granddaughter; Brionna, and grandson; David. Two brothers; George Mason of Palmetto, Florida and Robert (Julie) Mason of St. Clair. Stepchildren; Brenda Kruger, Mark and Annette Verbeke. Audrey Stephan, and Bonnie Bach. His special cousin Flora Nugent of Algonac, and his special friend Karen Smith of St. Clair.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9pm with a 7pm Rosary at Young Funeral Home, China Township. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Wednesday at the funeral home and going in procession to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair for a 10am Mass, with Fr. Greg Deters officiating. The rite of committal will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dale Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Frank Mlejnek, Andy Wise, Ray Swan, and Jeremy Pacquette.
