Gerald A. Rose Jr.'s Obituary
Gerald A. Rose, Jr., age 85, of Marine City, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2024. He was born on January 8,1939 in Detroit to the late Gerald and Margaret Rose.
He married the love of his life Mary on July 14, 1978.
He worked for Chrysler for 30 years and retired on May 30, 1995. He loved camping, fishing and golfing.
He coached Little League for many years as well. Jerry was also an avid bowler and once rolled a perfect 300 game. He also enjoyed hunting trips with his family up north. Jerry could always be seen at one of his kids sporting events. He never missed a game.

He is survived by his loving wife; Mary Rose, his children; Daniel (Alejandra) Rose, Theresa Aitken, David (Melissa) Rose, Michael Rose, Jennifer (Patrick) Cates, Wayne (Kim) Brockley, Katie (Kevin) Adolph, Michael (Julie) Brockley, and Patricia Campbell, along with 27 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters; Patty Havens, Nancy Daniels, Mary Ann McCluskey, Lori (John) Hoover and Ginny (Scott) Vistisen and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter; Anne Etheredge, granddaughter; Amanda Etheredge and sister; Margie Schroeder.
Funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1 at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and at church one hour prior to mass.
