Gerald W. "Jerry" Hamilton's Obituary
Gerald W. “Jerry” Hamilton, age 58, of China Twp., passed away December 12, 2021. Jerry was born January 13, 1963 in St. Clair to Jim and Olive Hamilton. On November 15, 1985 Jerry married his “love of a lifetime”, Jeannie Seguin and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage.
Jerry was a loyal employee of the Diamond Crystal Salt Co., AKZO and Cargill. Starting on July 19, 1982 as a TR doing heater work and later transitioning to the Alberger Department where he currently worked.
Jerry centered his life around family. He loved the Hamilton Mud Bog, bonfires, fishing parties, snowmobiling and caring for his cows. He especially loved working on projects with his dad and grandson, Landen. As husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend Jerry was always ready to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie; beloved daughters, Jackie Hamilton (Scott Simons) and Jamie Hamilton; adored grandchildren, Landen and Layten Hamilton, Tori, Michael and Joey Simons; parents Jim and Olive Hamilton; brothers, Jim (Debbie), Joe (Lisa) and Bill (Tracy) Hamilton; mother in law, Bonnie Seguin (Al Wortman); sisters in law and brothers in law, Cheri and Randy Bougenoy and Laurie and Dave Hoppe and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday December 19th 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
