George A. Plotzke's Obituary
George A. Plotzke, age 91, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 25, 2021. He was born on September 21, 1930 to the late Frank and Cecelia Plotzke. George married Dolly Zalewski on May 22, 1954. He served in the U.S. Army and upon being honorably discharged he went to work for Motor City Electric as an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 58. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and crossword puzzles. He loved spending time with family and friends especially at the holidays.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dolly; children, Cheryl Plotzke, Cindy Plotzke, Christopher (Mary Beth) Plotzke, Russell (Maddie) Plotzke, Donna (Gary) DeMaster; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Robert “Rich” (Nancy) Plotzke; daughter in law, Mary Plotzke along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Plotzke; sisters, Geraldine (Robert) Comiska and Delphine (Roy) Darling.
A funeral mass will be Monday December 13, 2021 at 11:00am at St Mary's Catholic Church, St.Clair with visitation before at Young Funeral Home from 10:00am until morning prayers at 10:45am.
