Msgr. George T. Browne's Obituary
Msgr. George T. Browne, age 85, of Marine City, died July 15, 2016. He was born July 31, 1930 in Detroit to the late George and Mary Browne.
Msgr. Browne served many parishes in the Archdiocese of Detroit including Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City and St. Angela Church, Roseville. He was the current Chaplain and member of K of C Council #856, Marine City and current Chaplain of the St. Agatha Circle #419 Daughters of Isabella. Msgr. Browne was a Fourth Degree, Assembly Chaplain and a Life Member of Richmond Assembly 480. One of his favorite pastimes was playing cards with family and friends.
He is survived by his brother; Rev. Joseph P. CSC, sisters; Sr. Maria Goretti OP and Teresa.
A rosary recital will be Wednesday July 20th at 12:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. visitation will conclude Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service at Our Lady on the River, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Funeral Mass will be Thursday July 21st at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to mass. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City.
