Genevieve B. "Jenny" Street's Obituary
Genevieve B. “Jenny” Street, age 93, of Marine City, passed away unexpectedly May 8, 2018. She was born July 3, 1924 in her home in Forest, Ontario to the late James and Agnes Hubbard. On July 7, 1945 Jenny married Walter M. Street also in Forest, Ontario. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Jenny’s family remembers her as a very loving and giving person, volunteering for numerous organizations. Among those were her church, Holy Cross Catholic Church OLR Parish, Rosary Alter Society and the D of I St. Agatha Circle. One of her favorite organizations was the Girl Scouts, where she volunteered for 60 years. She was proud to have organized and participated in the original Girl Scout International River Crossing. A 50 year tradition that continues today. Jenny also found time to play bridge with two bridge clubs. Of course her main focus in life was her family. She was proud of their accomplishments, enjoyed their company and they fulfilled her life. Whether it was a vacation or at her home Jenny always looked forward to gatherings of family and extended family. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many.
