Gayle E. Stoecker's Obituary
Gayle E. Stoecker, age 79, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born August 1, 1937 in Algonac to the late Jacob and Mable Johnson.
On January 28, 1961, Gayle Johnson married Ervin Stoecker in St. Clair. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Gayle was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also former Regent of Daughters of Isabella Stella Maris Circle, St. Clair and the Red Hatters. Gayle enjoyed traveling with family and going on casino trips with friends. She always cherished the times she shared with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ann (Jim) Mayworm, Mark (Michelle) Stoecker, Debra (John) Menke and Kathy (Jeff) Westrick; grandchildren, Alyse, Deanna, Johnny, Jacob, Jesse, Benjamin and Olivia; sister, Patricia McWain; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Dorothy Sinew, Norene Stoecker, Marie Stoecker, Donna Johnson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Maxwell Westrick and brothers, Monte, David and Jake Johnson.
Mass of Resurrection will be Monday April 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday 2 to 8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary recital at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Family will also receive visitors at church Monday 10:30 to 11 a.m. Gayle’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
