Mr. Gary R. Zimmerman's Obituary
Gary R. Zimmerman, age 76, of Marine City, died December 11, 2014. Gary was born October 6, 1938 in Casco Twp., to the late Richard and Mildred Zimmerman. Gary served his country faithfully in Vietnam with the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. He enjoyed farming and tending to his animals along with selling eggs. He also enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and fox and raccoon hunting.
Gary is survived by his sister; Lois Barnes, a special great nephew and good friend; Dean (Amy) Watson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by sisters; Dorothy Burns and Jean Gallagher and a brother; Robert Schulz and longtime companion; Marcel Vanlede.
Funeral services will be Monday December 15th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Richmond Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. A message of comfort may be delivered to www.youngfuneralservices.com
