My husband Jon and I (Candita) knew Gary through my husband's parents (Jim and Deb Greenman). Gary was not a blood relative, but a coworker and close family friend of the Greenmans. While marrying into the family, I did mix that connection up a few times thinking he was an uncle in the family because of the close-knit relationship between the two.
However, regardless of relation, the Greenman family can gratefully say that Gary was a very welcoming individual who went great lengths to stay closely in touch with everyone and be a big part of our lives.
Although Jon and I had only personally met him a few times, Gary made it a point to reach out to us and made us feel important when he attended our wedding, helped us with home improvement, and expressed such deep love and support for the child that we are expecting later this year. We are forever thankful for these moments and we will continue to cherish them in his honor.
There are no amount of words that can capture the imprint in all of its entirety that Gary has left on the Greenman family as a whole. Like so many others, we have lost someone dear to us and we cannot clearly define all the ways our hearts are saddened with this tragic loss; but we will always remember all of the wonderful memories we have gained from Gary that will last forever.
We send lots of love and prayers to all family and friends of Gary through this difficult time.
Love,
The Greenman Family
