Mr. Gary Michael Howison's Obituary
Gary M. Howison, age 62, of Kimball Twp., died August 31, 2014. He was born January 20, 1952 in Jacksonville, Florida to Ronald and Marian Howison. Gary graduated from St. Clair High School in 1970, lettering in football, basketball and track. On October 15, 1977 Gary married Mary Curtis in Port Huron. Gary loved working in the construction trades, where he made life-long friends. He was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to the Blues and loved to travel. He was a self employed contractor and owner of Howison Home Improvement and more recent Huron Custom Construction.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Mary Howison, children; Edward and Amy Howison, parents; Ron and Marian Howison, sister; Karen (Marv) Schneider, mother in law; Evelyn "Toby" Turner, brothers in law and sisters in law; Wayne and Nancy Curtis, Richard and Debbie Curtis, Mark Curtis, Gloria McKeand, Barbara Minnie and Brenda Curtis and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Frank and Katie Kolla and Lyal and Idabelle Howison, brothers in law; Tom and Tim Curtis.
The family would like to thank everyone that helped treat and care for Gary, especially the wonderful team at Mercy Hospital. (We will never forget your kindness).
