Gary F. Gabler's Obituary
Gary F. Gabler, age 88, of Marine City passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. Born in Royal Oak, Michigan on April 12, 1936, he was the son of the late Clyde and Kathleen Gabler. Gary married the love of his life Linda Ann Sackett on March 25, 1972.
He dedicated his life to serving his country, with a distinguished career spanning the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant, and the Michigan Air National Guard for 20 years. Gary also contributed his expertise to the Cape Canaveral Space Program for a decade.
Gary was a passionate world traveler who cherished spending winters as a snowbird in Florida. However, he equally adored his Marine City home, where he found joy in watching the majestic freighters pass and the trees flourish. A dedicated volunteer at St. Marks Church, Gary's greatest fulfillment came from spending quality time with his loved ones.
Gary is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Linda Ann; their children, Susan Ann (Robert) DeMil, Stephen Gabler, Chris (Allison) Gabler, and Scott (Denise) Gabler; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as his brothers, Brad Gabler and Rick (Monica) Gabler. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Jane Gabler, and his brother, Phil Gabler.
