Gary was a co-worker of mine for a number of years. He was a straight shooter and a kind hearted person who cared about those around him. Gary was a poster child for what made the twentieth century American manufacturing industry so successful: hard working, innovative, risk taking and resourceful. Gary was a good man. He will be missed.

I was out of town when you called me with the very sad news of Gary's passing. There are really no proper words at a tough time as this but know you are very much in my thoughts and prayers. Gary was a great guy and I know the two of you had a most special relationship, one that many do not experience in a lifetime. Cherish these most precious memories which can never be taken from you. My deepest condolences to your entire family. I did talk to Chris last evening but will get in touch with you in the next few days.
