Garrett Joseph Simons' Obituary
Garrett Joseph Simons, born August 28, 1991, to Alesia (Morrison) and James Simons, died in an automobile accident on Sunday April 1, 2012. Garrett graduated in 2010 from Marysville High School, where he was the captain of the football team. He lived every day to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors; especially hunting, trapping and fishing. He was very social and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He was employed at Venture Global Engineering. Garrett will be deeply missed by all who knew him and never forgotten. Garrett is survived by his parents, James and Alesia Simons; brother, Brandon; grandparents, Fred and Donna Stuewer and Linda Gilbert; aunts and uncles, Barb (Tim) Angove, Scott (Jessica) Simons, Tricia Hamilton and Chip Stamper, Mike (Jessica) Gilbert and Hisham (Chrissy) Al-Gharbally; and several cousins, great-aunts and uncles. Garrett was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles (Chick) Morrison and Jim Simons; and great-grandfather, Al Simons. Funeral services will begin Wednesday April 4th at 10:15 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 12:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Simons, Steve Green, Derek and Nick Watson, Chris Westphal, Dillon Westbrook, Anthony Swierkosz and Cody Patterson.
