Frederick E. "Fred" Hale's Obituary
Frederick E. "Fred" Hale, age 80, of St. Clair, passed away October 25, 2024 after a short illness. He was born November 26, 1943 in Detroit to the late Ernest and Violet Hale. He married Janice Simons on May 9, 1964.
Fred graduated from St. Clair High School in 1961 and later earned his Bachelor degree from Central Michigan University. He also proudly served with the U.S. Navy for two years.
He worked as a parts training manager for Chrysler for many years and retired in 2005.
Fred enjoyed many things throughout his life and absolutely loved cars. He enjoyed traveling with Janice, especially going on cruises with her. He also enjoyed camping, boating, playing cards and going on trips to the casino. Fred always had the gift of gab and would talk with people everywhere he went.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years; Janice Hale. He is also survived by his sister; Barbara Green, brother; Tom Hale, brother in-law; Tom Simons, sister in-law; Darlene Butler, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son; Jason Hale, sister; Betty Gallant, sister in-law; Evelyn Panos, brother in-law; Larry Buchler and nephew; Christopher Green.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Inurnment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service.
