Frederick L. Babel's Obituary
Frederick L. Babel, age 69, of East China, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023. He was born November 3, 1954 in St. Clair to the late Leo and Rita Babel.
He married Deborah Beaudua on April 26,1974 in Marine City. Fred worked as an industrial machine repairman at various shops during his career and retired in 2022.
He enjoyed bonfires with his family and friends, cutting his grass and was an avid collector of anything that caught his eye. Fred also collecting tractors and had classic cars and belonged to local car clubs.
He also served on the East China Township Park Commission and Historical Commission.
He is survived by his wife; Debbie Babel and his children; Jenelle (Brian) Rausch and Justin Babel. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Avery and Julia Rausch, his sisters; Caryann (Wayne) Kaatz and Vivian (Chuck) Maynard along with his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his niece; Julie Auclair.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
Visiting hours will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
