Fred was a remarkable man. He welcomed people into his life w joy and love. A great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He displayed such courage and grace while enduring life difficulties.
He will be greatly missed.

Fred and Jackie made it possible for us to build a home next to their place in BV by purchasing half of the land we owned back in 2006. This led to a friendship that we value as much as any we have. Fred managed to convince me to get on the dance floor at their family gathering a couple years ago - and I never dance in public. I wouldn't have done that for anyone else. Not only generous, a real inspiration. We will miss him tremendously.

I always thought Fred was larger than life……it may be because I met him 50 years ago when I was 10! What wonderful times were spent snowmobiling with him and the family! Treasured memories of singing with the player piano, winter bonfires, getting stuck on the slushy lake, and fearing for my life when I did ride on his sled with him! You have certainly lost a legend. Fred was one of a kind, of a special person. He always took the time, care and effort to help. He gave a 110% into any project or adventure he was involved in . It was an honor to know him. Jackie hopefully the love that surrounds you now help ease the pain.
