Frances P. Osterland's Obituary
Frances P. Osterland, age 92, of Marine City, died July 19, 2016. She was born March 31, 1924 . She married Clifford Osterland August 10, 1946. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She worked on the funeral luncheon committee for many years. She enjoyed bowling for over 40 years with the same teammates. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies for her family.
She is survived by her daughter; Nancy (Don) Simonelli, son; Jim (Deanna) Osterland, daughter in-law; Renee Osterland. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Nicole (Dean) Hart, Nick (Kate) Osterland, Josh Osterland, great-grandchildren; Tyler, Lauren, and Paige Hart, sister; Rose McCormick and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Clifford Osterland, son; Dan Osterland, brothers; Ray, Joseph, John, Frank, and Alex Dziedzic, sister; Helen Toton, step-brothers; Frank and Ed Toton, and step-sister; Clara Bloch.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23 at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and at church one hour prior to mass. A rosary will be said at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
