Frances Lee Gostiaux's Obituary
Frances Lee Gostiaux, age 84 of East China Twp., passed away peacefully on March 23rd, 2022. Fran was born on March 26th, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Edward and Mamye Thrift.
Fran and her family moved to Michigan where she met the love of her life, Arsene “Tip” Gostiaux and they were married on May 11, 1957. Together they raised three beautiful children and their family flourished.
Fran was a stay at home mom where she thrived on being involved with her children’s activities throughout their school years. She also enjoyed making extravagant floral arrangements for her family and friends to enjoy. Fran loved to gamble…a trip to the casino was always in the cards for her. In addition to her children, Fran adored her seven grandchildren and her seven great grandchildren.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Arsene “Tip”. She is survived by sons Anthony and Gregory (Cheryl) and daughter Sharon (William) Werling. Grandchildren Sheri (Ron) Mitchell, Vanessa (Jacob) Fraley, Colette (Eric) Helmbrecht, Rachel (Joe) Grover, Lisa Gostiaux, Cody Werling, and Kyle Werling. Seven great grandchildren Emma, Evelyn, Madison, Margaret, Reese, Eden, and Everett and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been arranged through Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A memorial service will be held at Rosehill Cemetery (600 Puttygut Rd., East China) on May 14th, 2022 at 1:00pm.
