Mr. Floyd "Bud" B. Solgot's Obituary
Floyd "Bud" Solgot, age 79, of St. Clair, died November 22, 2013. He was born August 19, 1934 in Fenton, Michigan to the late Floyd and Adeline Solgot. On August 20, 1955 Bud married Betty Erdman in St. Clair. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era. Bud worked for and retired from the East China School District. He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair, where he assisted in the Thrift Shop and the Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Bud dedicated his life to his wife, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Solgot, children; David (Maureen) Solgot, Cindy (Norman) Grasley and Patty Schroeder, grandchildren; Heather, Danielle, Norman, Katie, Brandon, Nathan, Robert and Raelyn and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister; Judy (Ray) Jones and brother in law; Clarence Erdman and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister; Nancy Miller and sister in law; Sharon Erdman.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday November 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Clair. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to service.
