Florine "Flo" Ann Fielhauer's Obituary
Florine “Flo” Ann Fielhauer, age 98, of East China, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026.
Florine was born on April 24, 1928, in Detroit. She was raised in Detroit then moved to the thumb area of Michigan after her marriage to Carl Fielhauer in 1951 and finally settling in East China since 1959. Together they had nine children.
Flo is survived by her eight children, Susan Senger, Carl (Amy), Karen Morgan (Jim), Bill (Debbie), Beth (Chuck) Hopp, Brian (Mary), Jerry (Renee) and Greg; 27 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Flo is predeceased by her husband Carl, daughter Debbie and sister Marge, brother Rom, son-in-law Bob and grandson Robert Michael.
Flo was an active person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook and loved to try new recipes and share them. Flo was a member of Holy Cross Church and looked forward to attending her Friday Mass and breakfast outings. Flo spent time reading books, visiting with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in person or by phone, and it always meant the world to her. She was always ready to go shopping or out to eat. She loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit. Flo had a love for life and loved conversation and learning new things. All the neighbors knew Flo and she enjoyed visiting with them and hearing their stories. Her outgoing ways welcomed them into her home. Everyone that came into her life had a personal relationship with her. Her hospitality will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Prior to mass a rosary will be prayed for Flo at church from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. followed by a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow mass in Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Holy Cross Catholic School.
