Evelyn M. Miller's Obituary
Evelyn M. Miller, age 85 of St. Clair died Friday, December 23, 2011. Evelyn was born December 30, 1925 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Burgess and Gladys Ford. She married Alfred C. Miller April 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2011.Evelyn was an active member at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Detroit for over 30 years and most recently attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church, P.H. She devoted many years to raising their three children and later worked as office manager for Dr. Marriott, DDS for over 20 years. She loved the Lord, her family, quilting, shopping, birdwatching, traveling, and spending time with her friends. She loved to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and invested largely in relationships. Evelyn is survived by her son Robert G. Miller, her daughter Joan M. (David) Watt, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Thomas A. Miller in 2001.
Visitation Tuesday in the Young Funeral Home, China Twp from 5-7 PM with funeral service Wednesday at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will take place January 2, 2012 in Virginia. Memorials may be made to Colonial Woods Missionary or St. Jude's Childrens Hospital
